Art attack: Creating Shade and Tone.

Using different grades of pencils, children have been developing their pencil sketching and shading tecniques.  Using a selection of animals bones from our science discovery box, we have been learning to add tone and effect using different shading tecniques.  Children were encouraged to use their eyes to look closely and notice the tiny details of an object before putting pencil to paper.  Children have produced a number of pencil sketches of the animal skulls, bones and horms decorating our classroom.
