Easter

So we have entered the second half of the Spring Term and although the weather does not entirely demonstrate a Spring-like feel, we are marking the preparation time for Easter.  Each class has a specific concept to focus on and we will also build on these themes through Collective Worship. 

Foundation Stage- The events of Holy week through Drama and Role Play/ The symbolism of the Easter Egg 
Class 3- What does the Easter story tell us about God’s love and forgiveness?
Class 4- How do Christians prepare for Easter?  (Focus on Lent)
Class 5- Connections between Easter and Pesach - Jesus and Moses/ The Last Supper
Class 6- How is the resurrection portrayed as central to Christian beliefs?

Holy Week is the week leading up to Easter, and is the week during which Christians particularly remember the last week of Jesus's life. Holy Week begins on Palm Sunday.

The great crowd that had come for the Feast heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem,
