Our Values 2022
Christian Values 2022
All National Curriculum subjects provide opportunities to promote pupils' spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. Explicit opportunities to promote pupils' development in these areas are provided within religious education and personal, social and health education (PSHE). A significant contribution is also made by the school ethos and values, other curriculum activities, trips and visits and assemblies.
Rockcliffe CE School provides a nurturing environment that inspires and challenges our whole school family. This is built on our core values of love, trust, tolerance, respect andforgiveness which together help us to create a sense of true community.
We change our Value focus every half term. Children develop their knowledge and understanding through Acts of Collective Worship and Class Reflection. Our School Value Books can be found in the entrance hall.
Spring 1 and 2- Peace and Hope
Summer 1 2022
During the first half of Summer Term, our Christian Value was Courage.
Summer 2 2022
Children are recognised for demonstrating our Christian Values in school and at home. Every week, we award a certificate to a child in each class who has shown the importance of the half term's Value.
We also celebrate Staff Perseverance; all members of our school community are recognised for fully embedding our School Christian Values.
Every classroom has a Christian Values display which changes to focus on the half term value. Here are some examples:
24th June 2022
A huge thank you needs to go to Mrs Forster who is busy redeveloping our Prayer Garden, making an inviting, reflective and stimulating place for our children. We look forward to seeing this grow as children explore the different areas.
4th July 2022- Collective Worship
Monday 4th July was transition morning where children moved up to meet their new class teachers.
Before our transition morning, we met together for Whole School Collective Worship and a game of Jenga! Why? We discussed all the key elements that make up our wonderful school- amazing children, fabulous staff, supportive governors, fabulous community, our Christian Values and our ethos- Believe and Achieve. All of these make a firm foundation for Rockcliffe CE Primary School.
Tuesday 5th July 2022
Reverend Ian is a fantastic addition to our school community so we showed our thanks and appreciation with three cheers and a wonderful card which was designed by Year 2 children. Thank you Reverend Ian and have a lovely Summer!
Does anyone know the significance of the jaffa cake? Maybe ask one of our children....
