Baking Dragon Bread

The smell of freshly baked bread filled Class 3 as children spent the morning designing and baking their own dragon bread. Children were challenged to create a dragon out of bread dough and carefully planned their designs before making the dough.  Children labelled their designs and listed the ingredients needed.

They worked in small teams to follow a set of step by step instructions to make the bread dough.  Once rested, the dough was divided and children began to mould and sculpt their unique dragon designs. Children used raisins, sultanas, chocolate drops and glace cherries to add detail to their dragon bread, like eyes, scales, horns and claws.
