Science Detectives!

Children across Key Stage One have been getting their hands dirty in our new Science Detectives After School Club. Each week, we have been investigating a different area of science from changing materials, opposing forces and density.  Using a range of everyday materials we have investigated an unbreakable egg, used egg shells to support a tower of books, designed and built a tall scaffold for a favourite toy using spaghetti and marshmallows, mixed liquid ingredients to make a super stretchy slime and created a erupting lava lamp in a bottle.  All of the activities were designed specifically to enable our budding young scientists to develop key scientific enquiry skills.
