Welcome back to the Summer Term.

We have many exciting things happening this half term including, learning about 'Explorers' in History, creating explorer lunches in DT, studying facts about Famous Scientists, and recognizing our own 'Strengths' and 'Callings' in RE.

In Literacy over the half term we are looking at the text ‘Man on the Moon by Simon Bartman. We will be learning about Bob and his job on the moon as well as the possibility of Aliens! We will be creating our own alien stories and fact files which we can’t wait to share with you.

In Maths year ones are looking at capacity, weigh and volume, then moving on to multiplications in 2’s and 10’s. While year twos are focusing on fractions and time. We are also getting some extra time during this term to revisit some of our topics from throughout this year.

Year ones have also got fantastic opportunity to go swimming to improve their water confidence ready for summer! We can’t wait to see what a splash they make.

We are also very lucky that this term we have Mr Keiller coming to work with us supported by Mrs Pieroni. So if you see him around school please come and say 'Hello!".

The class have enjoyed trying dippers and dips, they used great vocabulary to describe their tastes and textures. Children were very brave and tried salsa, gucamole, humus, and ratia.

This week we got to visit the library van, children were role models for our school with super listening skills and excellent manners. They each chose a book to bring back to school to read with our reading buddies and at home with family.
