Our Christian Value focus for Autumn is Christianity. During Worship, we discover how Creativity is theologicall rooted in the Bible as "God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them." (Genesis 1 : 27)
"God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them." (Genesis 1 : 27)
This verse is often interpreted to mean that humans- created in God's image- possess inherent qualities like rationality, morality and the capacity for creativity, reflecting God's own nature as the ultimate creator.
We started our new academic year with the Creation Story as the foundation of our Worship. Children continue to be encouraged to flourish creatively in their own way and we continue to celebrate these moments from school and from home.
Our Prayer Spaces and Values Boards are filled with lots of Creativity reflections as children are keen to share how and when they have been creative. As a whole school, we are working on 'building a wall' of firm foundations in our entrance hallway. Children can share when they have been creative and add their very own brick to our 'wall' We are looking forward to seeing the wall grow during the Autumn Term as more doors are opened to creative opportunities. Worship Leaders will be keeping a close eye on this.
We continue to celebrate times when pupils demonstrate these Christian Values and give special awards during Monday Collective Worship.
Children also nominate their peers for 'Caught being kind'.
