Sports Premium
To continue to develop the legacy of the London 2012 Olympic Games, additional money is paid into the school budget to support Physical Education and Games. Some of the money is used to ensure that our Multi-use games Area (MUGA) is used to the fullest extent at lunchtimes, offering all children a further thirty minutes of sport per day. We also use money to extend swimming lessons to Years 1, 3, 4 and 5 and to run booster swimming sessions to ensure that no-one leaves Rockcliffe without meeting at least the minimum requirements of 25m in a single stroke.
We also offer bespoke PE opportunities for children in Years 4 and 5. This has included bouldering, orienteering and currently has plans for children to undertake skiing and boulding in early 2022.
Further details on how this money is spent can be found in the attached document.
